Background
Background and Experience
Pamela Ruege is a graduate of Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. MLC is the teacher training college of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in General Elementary Education with a specialty in Social Studies 5-8. She holds a minor degree in music and specializes in the teaching of Kindergarten and the Primary grades. Having recently moved to Great Falls, MT, she is currently a substitute teacher in the Great Falls Public School District, teaching on a daily basis grades K-6 and music grades K-8. She is also a teacher at Sylvan Learning Center.
In addition to general teaching, Pamela has over twenty-five years of music teaching experience in various areas including 8 years classroom music grades K-8, 5 years Lutheran elementary School choirs, 26 years piano instructor, 2 years pipe organ instructor, 4 years handbell choir director, and over 8 years conducting church choirs of various sizes and ages.
Other keyboard experiences are: over 30 years organ/piano accompaniment for church worship, church choirs, Sunday School music, Vacation Bible School and beginning Suzuki violin students. Presently Pamela directs the adult choir and Sunday School music program at her church.
Over the past years she has continued education with workshops in organ, handbell and choral conducting and repertoire, and piano pedagogy. Pamela has maintained memberships in the Music Teacher's National Association, has been a member of the Minnesota Music Teachers Association, the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association, and has held various offices inlocal music teachers associations. She is presently pursuing membership in the Montana Music Teachers Association and the Great Falls Music Teachers Association.
