Background and Experience
B.A. in Music Performance from Columbia College Chicago, 2006.
Focus in jazz voice and jazz piano performance.
Have taken piano lessons since age 10.
Have taken voice lessons since age 15.
Can teach many contemporary vocal styles: jazz/blues, musical theater, pop. rock, country. etc.
Can teach beginning to intermediate/advanced classical piano.
Can teach beginning jazz piano.
VERY strong in music theory and ear training.
Have been teaching private music lessons through other studios/home studio since 2006.
Have been teaching basic music enrichment curriculum (handchimes, piano, drums, recorder) within the Chicago Public School community through the Chicago Jazz Philharmonic since 2008.
