Background and Experience
I have a BM in Music Education from Ithaca College, studied trumpet performance at the Royal College of Music in London, England, received a MM in Trumpet Performance from Northwestern University, and did DMA work at Indiana Univ. and the UNC-Greensboro. I played Principal Trumpet in Orquesta Sinfonica Municipal in Caracas, Venezuela for two years. Taught the top students in the El Sistema program. Later taught trumpet at the Univ. of Alaska for two years and Winthrop College for three years. Currently a member of the Edens Brass Trio, and Solo Chair Cornet for the Prarie Brass Band. I frequently perform as a soloist for weddings and church services on a regular basis. I also sub in area big bands.
